A helpful way to think about this is how your student typically learns and participates.
A small group is usually a good fit if your student can:
• participate in discussion with peers
• follow along with shared activities
• benefit from hearing others’ ideas and responses1:1 sessions may be a better fit if your student:
• needs more direct support to stay engaged
• is working on more targeted reading, language, or communication goals
• benefits from a slower pace or more individualized instructionIf you’re unsure, that’s completely okay—just indicate that on the form and I will help guide placement!

Groups are thoughtfully created by looking at each student’s IEP goals, current strengths and areas of need, and the skills they are working toward at their grade level. I also consider availability to build groups that are both well-matched and practical for families.

Each session is structured around your student’s individual needs and learning goals. Students will engage in a hands-on activity (such as reading, building, or a simple craft) and then apply targeted skills through answering questions, producing written responses, or completing structured tasks.
You will receive weekly updates with insight into recent sessions, your student’s progress, and what to look for moving forward.

Please notify me as soon as possible if your student will be absent. Students may attend a make-up session in another group or time slot within one week of the missed session, based on availability.
Due to the limited schedule, make-up options are not guaranteed. If a make-up session is not available, I will provide guidance or materials to support your student.
